Woke this morning to the news that Pro Bowl Safety Sean Taylor died from wounds inflicted by a gun shot at his Miami home late Sunday night. While it’s certainly sad that a 24 year old father died, the circumstances surrounding his death are certainly suspect right now. You’ll see in the stories that begin to come out of the next few days, that Taylor was certainly not associating with the “right” kind of people and this goes back to his days at the University of Miami.

I taped a show this morning for “The Mountain” called “Around the Mountain” it will air tonight. Lots of discussion about the Utah/BYU game and even some discussion of the calls or no calls by the officials late in the contest. I said it before and I’ll say it again, “The Officials were not the reason Utah was beaten on Saturday!” Utah controlled it’s own destiny on the 4th and 18 from the 12 yard line, END OF DISCUSSION! With that said Utah is still going bowling at San Diego’s Poinsetta Bowl is the likely destination, with BYU heading to Vegas, unless.....BCS!!!

One more thought from last night: Why is it that the Jazz can’t win at MSG? If you watched the game, is there a more disinterested looking guy at his job than Isiah Thomas? WOW!
