Blogging from the Bowl

Navy now leads...a 39 yard FG with 28 seconds to play in the half gives the Middies their first lead of the game. The drive was 11 plays and 31 yards and took just over 2 minutes of clock time. Utah’s Joe Dale is struggling in coverage tonight, he’s been beaten twice and called for pass interference once....Utah gets the ball at their own 30 and runs out the clock with Darrell Mack...so at Halftime it’s 10-7 Navy...Where is all the scoring?? I thought the Navy defense was supposed to be subpar??? I would say tonight the Utah offense, playcalling and execution have been subpar....

Random 1st Half thoughts....

1. Robert Johnson is probably the best player on the field for either team...He will be Utah’s best defensive player next season for certain.....
2. Utah’s offensive line is winning the battle upfront, but much like the BYU game, the Utes are choosing to run side to side rather than between the tackles...WHY??
3. Utah Looks life-less in the game. No energy or enthusiasm....
4. The media in the press box looks almost as disinterested in the game as Utah does....

The Utes will have the ball to begin the second half...I need to go get some caffine to stay awake....
