Monday in the Cold of Sandy

Today I attended my first “Topping Out"Ceremony, as Real Salt Lake placed the final beam of steel on the new stadium in Sandy. I hosted a 2 hour talk show from the new stadium site along with Spencer Checketts. I’ve been able to be part of most all of the significant moments in RSL History and today’s ranks right up there. I was able to emcee the event in August of 2006 when David Beckham and Real Madrid shoveled dirt on the stadium site. That day was memorable but today felt much more real, because there was acutally a stadium structure in place. Fall of 2008 seems a long way away from right now, but if the early returns are any indication, the next 9 months will be worth the wait…
